My approach to treating patients
Welcome to my website. Here you will find some very useful information to help answer some of your orthopaedic questions. As always, if you are seeking some information that is not on this site, or if you have any questions regarding this information, please feel free to call our office at 608/637-4704.
At the Viroqua Center for Orthopaedic Surgery, our orthopaedic team includes Mark Romzek, D.O., Randy Mickelson, P.A.C, Colin Kratochwill, P.A.C, Kris Brueggen, N.P., Mary Eitland, R.N.,Geri Hall, R.N., Katie Peterson, N.P., Jody Howell, M.A., Andrea Harris, M.A., Jennifer Stalsberg, M.A., Connie Stoikes PL/Surgery Coordinator, Julie Ostrem, PL, Stacey Stellick, PL and myself. I am very proud of the orthopaedic program that we have assembled here in Viroqua. Within our rural hospital setting, we have developed a "state of the art" Orthopaedic Center that utilizes the advanced technologies of orthopaedic surgery. This includes Minimally Invasive Surgery for hip replacements as well as shoulder and knee reconstructions. We also use Computer Assisted Surgery for our knee replacements. Additionally, we offer hip resurfacing replacements as an alternative for our younger patients.
The Center for Minimally Invasive, Orthopaedic and General Surgery is a facility opened in fall 2004. We offer a beautiful and comfortable waiting area for patients and their families. The surgical suites are digital operating rooms that incorporate voice activated technology and ultra-modern equipment to provide the very best care available.
Our clinic staff, nursing staff and physical and occupational therapists are all extremely skilled and are important components to our team approach for treating orthopaedic problems at The Viroqua Center for Orthopaedics.
My personal approach to patient care is to always explore conservative treatment options first. If those options are exhausted, or if the medical problem is severe enough, then surgical alternatives are discussed. I try very hard to make sure that each patient leaves my office with a thorough understanding of their problem and treatment options.
