My Approach to Treating Patients
Dr. Levitsky was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, a son of a prominent pediatrician. He began his undergraduate training close to his family home at the University of Delaware where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to the highly selective Phi Beta Kappa honors society. He is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in his junior year. He was also one of five recipients of the Hewlett Packard award for top medical student in the class and the Martin J. Loeb award. He subsequently completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the prestigious Tufts Combined Orthopaedic Program. While in the program he authored numerous academic publications and presented his research at national orthopaedic meetings. Upon his graduation, Dr. Levitsky, interested in advanced orthopaedic training, did an additional fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Pennsylvania.

A long time staff member of the Valley Hospital as well as a member of the teaching faculty at the St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Levitsky is actively involved in the education of the young orthopaedic residents. Dr. Levitsky dedicates himself to teaching the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons by teaching them in weekly conferences and in the operating room. At The Valley Hospital, Dr. Levitsky has been Chairman of the Quality Assurance committee for a number of years. His work in this department has assisted the hospital in its dedication to physician clinical excellence. Dr. Levitsky also serves as the Director of Education for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. In his role as education director, he updates the Orthopaedic Staff on the latest research, clinical developments, and surgical techniques.

Dr. Kenneth Levitsky joined Garden State Orthopaedic Associates in 1993. Dr. Levitsky's practice is one of general orthopaedic surgery with a sub-specialty interest in disorders of the lower leg. His surgical specialty interests include knee arthroscopy, fractures of the foot, leg, and ankle, disorders of the Achilles tendon, persistent pain and instability of the ankle after ankle sprain, arthritis of the foot and ankle, bunions, and hammertoes. In addition, sports related injuries comprise a significant portion of his clinical practice. Dr. Levitsky has been proud to give back to the community as he has served as the Team Doctor of the Glen Rock High School Football Panthers since 1993.

Dr. Levitsky lives in New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
