My approach to treating patients

Whether it is the young athlete or the patient with a long-standing degenerative condition, our approach to caring for patients is to offer the most current and comprehensive treatment available. In general, with the exception of acute trauma, a conservative nonoperative plan is often initially appropriate. This may include a trial of medical management, in conjunction with therapy and activity modification. If this is not successful a more aggressive plan, including surgery, may be best suited for that particular individual.
