My Approach to Treating Patients
As the founder of the Center for Sports Orthopaedics, optimal preservation and 'resurfacing' of patients' native joints are the major areas of focus and expertise of David H Trotter MD. 'Complex thinking for sports-related or general forms of arthritis' are a major focus here at the Center for Sports Orthopaedics, SC.

Associated with the largest known global and unique series of interpositional knee 'disc' (including OrthoGlide) patient groups, Dr. David Trotter has developed an international reputation. Having served as a team physician for the US Soccer Team, Dr. Trotter's experience ranges from the treatment of complex sports injuries (ACL's etc.) to the preservation of painful articular cartilage injuries.

Joint supplementation, minimally invasive and/or more natural constructs are utilized, often dramatically postponing and/or potentially avoiding total (or even partial) replacement of the knee and shoulder joints. Shoulder reconstruction (arthroscopic and via arthrotomy) represents yet another of Dr. Trotter's special interest areas of expertise.

Overall; Joint-sparing and 'resurfacing' procedures for painful, arthritic joints have become a very special focus area of Dave Trotter MD, President and Founder of the Center for Sports Orthopaedics, SC
