As President and Founder of the Center for Sports Orthopaedics, preservation and 'resurfacing' of patients' natural joints are the major areas of expertise and focus of David H Trotter MD.
Associated with the largest global series of interpositional knee 'disc' (including OrthoGlide) patient groups, Dr. David Trotter has developed an international reputation. Having served as a team physician for the US Soccer Team, Dr. Trotter's experience ranges from the treatment of severe articular cartilage injuries and complex injuries including 'ACL's'.
Joint cartilage supplementation, minimally invasive and/or more natural constructs are utilized, often dramatically postponing and/or potentially avoiding total (or even partial) replacement of knee and shoulder joints.
Joint-sparing and 'resurfacing' of painful arthritic joints have become a very special focus area of Dave Trotter MD, President and Founder of the Center for Sports Orthopaedics, SC. Dr. Trotter has performed the largest series of 'hybrid' Medial/OrthoGlide 'disc' with PatelloFemoral/'Hemi-Cap' bi-compartmental knee procedures.
