My approach to treating patients

"Life is motion and motion is life", says Dr. Kohler-Ekstrand, who has a clinical appointment at the University of California, Los Angeles. "My mission in treating patients is to provide individualized conservative care to allow early return to pain-free motion and activities of choice", she continues. Being an orthopedic surgeon enables Dr. Kohler-Ekstrand not only to suggest but also follow through with the whole gamut of treatment options from prevention to surgical intervention. She further adds "I emphasize treating the patients as a whole and will go to great lengths to work with other specialists at UCLA to optimize not only the orthopedic care but also the general health."
