Dr. Yu is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has been in private practice since 1982. Dr. Yu's surgical practice is limited to the specialty of Orthopedic Surgery , emphasizing the back, shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, ankle and foot. Dr. Yu is also QME and IME certified by the State of California and takes part in industrial medicine evaluations and treatment of work related injuries.
Dr. Yu holds an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California School of Medicine. Dr. Yu strongly believes that in addition to quality medical care, communication and mutual trust between the physician and patient are equally important. Dr. Yu considers it a privilege to know and help his patients because he believes a personal relationship with his patients is not only mutually rewarding but also forms the basis for a more effective means of treatment.
