My Approach to Treating Patients
I have been in general orthopaedic surgery practice in New Braunfels/Comal County for over 25 years. I take a highly personal interest in the care of my patients. I know that a knowledgeable patient makes the best decisions about their medical treatment. Therefore, I work to develop a partnership with my patients. On my part this begins with listening. I want to know how your orthopaedic problem affects your life and what level of improvement is important to you. Also, I want my patients to understand their condition; how it developed and how the recommended treatment can improve or repair their problem. My philosophy is to first explore conservative, non-surgical methods of handling your injury. However, if surgery is needed, my surgical expertise includes arthroscopic surgery(minimally invasive) of the shoulder(rotator cuff repair), elbow, wrist(carpal tunnel), hand, and knee(ACL & medial/lateral meniscus tear)repair, along with leading edge techniques with proven traditional methods to provide our patients with the best orthopaedic care possible. I strive to present a realistic outlook on the results that can be achieved. I'll also be frank about any risks that might be involved. As mentioned previously, if a non-surgical option is available, I'll explain that avenue in depth.
