My approach to treating patients
I am an orthopaedic surgeon subspecializing in disorders of the spine. I trained at New York University and at The Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. I completed advanced training in spinal surgery in the departments of Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Surgey at New York University.
Many of my patients are effectively managed with non-operative treatments. Conservative measures often include physical therapy, medications and epidural injections. In those patients who have not improved after a comprehensive non-operative regimen, surgical cures are often posssible.
Disorders commonly treated include: Herniated Lumbar and Cervical Disks, Spinal Stenosis, Spondylolisthesis, Scoliosis, Spinal Trauma, Tumors and infections of the spine and vertebral compression fractures.
I employ the newest pain management techniques including epidural and caudal injections, spinal cord stimulator and morphine pump implantation and kyphoplasty for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures.
I pride myself on the individual attention each of my patients is given. Prior to your visit, you may want to browse the patient information section on this website to learn a bit more about your condition. Also visit the Spine Institute of South Florida Web site for additional information.
