My approach to treating patients
My basic approach to patient care is that surgery, in most cases (excluding trauma), is the last treatment modality utilized. Using a biomechanical approach to evaluate and treat orthopedic problems; using a team approach; and integrating allopathic and non-allopathic treatment options most patients see significant improvement in their pain and function.
Many of the patients requiring surgery are referred out to a surgeon who I feel is an expert in their specialized field of Orthopaedic Surgery. Many people come to me for a second opinion; a non-operative treatment program for their orthopedic problem; or a referral to an Orthopaedic specialist who I feel is the best person to perform their surgery.
