My approach to treating patients

As an orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, my focus is to return the injured athlete or worker back to their highest activity level, regardless of age. I have been involved in the care of professional athletes, including the New England Patriots Football Club and the Boston Bruins Hockey Club. I have also cared for collegiate athletes and am currently the team physician for the San Diego State University Rubgy Team. I am also team physician for the Southern California Scorpions Women's Professional Football Team. In regard to the injured worker, I am a Qualified Medical Examiner for the State of California. I believe in continued education and serve as the Sports Medicine Research and Education Director for the U.S. Spine and Sport Foundation and Associate Director for the Coast Medical Center Sports Medicine Fellowship. Most importantly, I have a "hands on" approach to patient care and a meticulous approach to surgical care. I truly enjoy my profession.
