My approach to treating patients
Welcome to the orthopedic surgery web site of Dr. Jeffrey M.Schwartz. I am a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I have experience in University academic orthopedic surgery, and more than 25 years in the private practice of orthopedic surgery in New York City. My approach to patients is individualized,progressive and caring. Adequate time is allotted to careful physical examination, review of laboratory and radiology tests including MRI's and CT scans. Orthopedic X-rays are performed in the office. Preparing a personalized treatment plan, with the patients own goals and expectations being integrated into the plan is of primary importance. Appropriate, advanced surgical and medical therapies are discussed in detail with the patient, and these are instituted after the patient has a clear understanding of these options.
